The final section of this year-long installation will present a collaborative contemporary work: an abstract ink painting by Ming Ren opposite an interactive projection responding in real-time to the viewers of the painting, designed by computer scientist and artificial intelligence pioneer Hansong Zhang, who received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998.

Hansong Zhang states that established fictional narratives overlaid on top of real-world locations as the essence of Augmented Reality, in much the same way stories are attached to these physical locations. The physical locations are, in the eyes of the lovers and readers of the stories, changed by the narratives. This might very well be the essence of Pokemon Go success.
